About Us

Bill Smith, Principal

Bill has over 15 years of experience working with local governments and businesses to help them green up their operations and operate in a more sustainable manner. His experience ranges from resource conservation to green building, climate change, green purchasing and change facilitation.

He received a Master’s degree in Environment and the Community from Antioch College in 2007. He is certified in recycling systems, composting operations and construction and demolition debris recycling by the Solid Waste Association of North American (SWANA). He is also holds the LEED Accredited Professional (LEEP AP) designation from the United States Green Building Council.  Bill has also completed lead auditor training for the ISO 14001 environmental management system and is working with the Basel Action Network to qualify companies handling electronic waste to the e-Steward standard. 

He serves on the local steering committee of the US Green Building Council and the Tacoma Pierce County Master Builder’s “Built Green” program.
